School Tennis Coaching Programs

Step 1: Contact Jim to reserve session times
Step 2: Apply for funding
Step 3: Book your Coach Delivered Package

With the sporting schools funding now available throughout the year, tennis can be easily incorporated into your school curriculum with our experienced coaches either offering programs at one of our tennis court locations or delivering the program at your school.

The focus of our programs is to create partnerships that will ensure a pathway for all children

in your school to experience tennis as part of the curriculum and then continue their involvement

directly through their local tennis club venue.

What some schools have said:

"The program has been great!

Please pass on my thanks to your coaches. We have had some excellent feedback from both the students and parents and it has really got the kids keen to do more tennis in the future."

- Michael Smith, PE Teacher at

   Spring Gully Primary School

"Jim ran a modified program for the students which worked really well. He worked on ball tracking, hand and eye coordination, basic shots and rallies,

At the end of the session they all played in a game, which was great fun and had the kids and teachers really engaged."

- Rob Brown, Kalianna School.

"As a part of the Health and Physical Education Program for term 1 at Kalianna School, our senior students have had the opportunity to be coached by a local professional, Jim Widdowson in the areas of tennis and soccer. Students thoroughly enjoyed the eight-week program as they gained confidence and the ability to work cooperatively in a team environment. Students demonstrated their ability to apply rules of both tennis and soccer to a game situation. Students gained the ability to demonstrate a range of skills, techniques and tactics whilst playing tennis and soccer. Jim was very professional, respectful and accommodating to all students of varying abilities. We look forward to continuing this program in the future. Thank you Jim."
